Implant Care

After placement of your crowns on top of the implants your home care should be exactly the same as if they were your natural teeth. Most often regular brushing and flossing is adequate. In some cases spaces between the teeth are larger than with natural teeth and interproximal brushes will help in removing food debris.

When flossing connected crowns you must use floss threaders to place the floss under the crowns for proper cleaning. As with natural teeth you must have regular professional cleanings by the hygienist at a frequency determined by your oral condition. The doctor or hygienist will discuss this with you.
