Digital Xrays

Digital x-rays provide many advantages over regular x-rays. They require 50% to 90% less radiation exposure than conventional film. The images are exposed and available immediately, eliminating the need for long developing processes.Eliminating the developing process spares the environment the disposal of hazardous chemicals.

Digital x-rays enable us to diagnose problems instantly rather than scheduling a return visit. The sensor we use is very comfortable, with no sharp corners. It is the size of a pediatric film but it still provides the same information as an adult film. Digital x-rays allow us to print or email the images as often as needed for multiple referrals and insurance claims, while regular radiographs only allow for one set of originals which can be lost or help-up in insurance processing. Sending x-rays digitally accelerates the process of insurance claim turn around so reimbursement is faster.
